Actress Shriya Saran, seen in "Drishyam 3," has spoken warmly about the film's team and about how motherhood has shaped her work. In a conversation with India Today, she recalled that her daughter was only 8 months old when she shot "Drishyam 2," and that by the time of the third film the child had grown up a little.

Shriya said the team was very supportive throughout. After the day's shoot, she said they would often send her home first, sometimes even before Ajay Devgn, because she was a new mother. She described the makers as kind and loving and said she is grateful to them.

Choosing Films With Her Daughter in Mind

Shriya also said motherhood has changed her approach to selecting projects. She now keeps in mind that her daughter will one day watch her on screen. She said she wants to spend as much time as possible with her child and to do films that she knows her daughter will be proud of. Her hope, she said, is that her daughter grows up and tells her it was a great film and that she is glad her mother did it.

About "Drishyam 3"

The film is directed by Abhishek Pathak, with Ajay Devgn returning as Vijay Salgaonkar in the third installment of the franchise. The cast also includes Tabu, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta, Mrinal Jadhav and Kamlesh Sawant, alongside Shriya. It was released in theatres on October 2.

Why It Matters

Many actors speak about balancing work and family, but Shriya's comments point to the role a production's culture plays in that balance. Small gestures, such as flexible pack-up times for a new parent, can shape how comfortable working mothers feel on a long shoot. Her remarks also show how personal milestones are beginning to influence casting and project choices across the industry.
