Tamil actor Ravi Mohan is set to be part of director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s famous Lokesh Cinematic Universe in his latest film Benz starring Nivin Pauly and Raghava Lawrence.
The director revealed some behind-the-scenes shots of Benz in a post on X. The script and direction are by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, while production and music for the film are handled by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Sai Abhyankar respectively. His previous film was Parasakthi directed by Sudha Kongara.
Amidst the film's announcement, Ravi Mohan has also been in the news for his personal life and divorce controversy. He appeared emotional at a press conference in Chennai and made several significant revelations. He announced that he will not act in films, nor will any of his films be released in theaters, until his divorce is finalized.
Ravi accused his wife Aarti and her family of mentally harassing him and preventing him from seeing his children. He stated that his children's annual fees are ₹50 lakh, which he pays himself.
Ravi Mohan alleged that Aarti blackmailed him by cutting his hand at the time of their marriage. After marriage, he was denied the freedom to work outside his in-laws' production house and was treated like a serial actor. He said that it was foolish of him to remain silent for so many years. He also expressed fear that if anything happens to him or his friend Kenisha, his wife's family will be responsible.
