The movie "Dhurandhar 2" starring Ranveer Singh continues to earn big at the box office even after 46 days of its release. However, despite its commercial success, the two Dhurandhar movies were both criticized by many. People viewed this movie as a work of propaganda. But now, the renowned lyricist and scriptwriter Javed Akhtar has come forward to share his views about this movie. He also addressed those who called the film propaganda.

Recently, Javed Akhtar attended an event where he was honored with a special award by a jewelry brand. During the event, while interacting with the media, Javed Akhtar was questioned about "Dhurandhar" and asked for his opinion on calling it a propaganda film. According to PTI, Javed Akhtar responded, "I don't know what you mean by propaganda films. I really liked Dhurandhar. It was a great film. I liked the first part more than the second."

Continuing his point, the veteran lyricist said that every story presents a point of view, but does a story become propaganda just because it doesn't appeal to a section of the audience? Everyone has the right to express their opinion. What's wrong with propaganda films? Every filmmaker's job is to show the truth.

Every story, even if it's fictional, harbors a specific ideology beneath the surface. Therefore, films inevitably convey a message or moral, which audiences can interpret or interpret in different ways, depending on their own perspective.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, "Dhurandhar" is a franchise with two films released. The first film, released late last year, was a critical success and performed exceptionally well at the box office. The second installment, "Dhurandhar: The Revenge," was released on March 19th this year.
