Kanye West and Travis Scott, American rappers, have canceled their scheduled concerts in Italy for July. The fans are deeply upset about this.
According to Variety, the concerts would take place on July 17 and 18 at the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia, Italy. However, the cancellation of Travis Scott's concerts were canceled due to safety concerns and not sanctions against them.
This decision was taken by the local authorities due to some safety concerns. Following this decision, it can be mentioned that after Kanye West made anti-Semitic statements in April, there were protests against his concert from the city’s Jewish community, anti-fascists, trade unions, and politicians.
The Helwat Festival team announced on social media that they were trying to reschedule Kanye West's July 18th show to another location in Italy, located in a different administrative region.
Kanye West recently kicked off his summer tour with a massive concert in Istanbul, which drew 118,000 people. Travis Scott was also on stage with him at the show. The two recently collaborated on the song "Father" from Kanye's new album, "Bully."
Despite restrictions in some countries, Kanye West's other shows will go ahead as scheduled. Shows in the Netherlands will be held on June 6th and 8th, followed by shows in Tirana, Albania, on July 11th, and in Prague on July 25th.
