According to recent reports, the actor will be seen in a challenging double role in the film. The film is scheduled to release on February 12, 2027.

According to the Economic Times, Kartik Aaryan will reportedly play both the hero and the villain in 'Naagraj'. It is said that this film will be the first part of a franchise. Amar Ujala sources close to the project claim that the actor has begun working vigorously on creating two completely different personalities and looks for these characters.

According to reports, since Kartik has always been interested in playing diverse characters, he is expected to perform these roles with flying colors.

Interestingly, the most recent Bollywood actor to play a double role was Shah Rukh Khan in "Jawaan." However, Kartik will keep his role distinct in "Naagzilla."

“Naagzilla” is inspired by the Indian folklore story of the “Ichchhadhari Naag” (a shape-shifting snake) where a cobra has to adapt to the threats of modern times.

The film was initially planned for release in August 2026. However, the makers later decided to postpone its release to focus on extensive VFX and post-production work. It will now be released in theaters on February 12, 2027.
