In a landmark judgment that came as great relief for Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan, the Supreme Court disposed of the plea against construction work for renovation of their Mumbai mansion, Mannat.
Owing to this judgment, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan will be able to proceed with their plans and build two additional floors in Mannat. Mannat in Bandra, Mumbai is not just a house but an extremely special place for Shah Rukh Khan’s fans.
On the occasion of Shah Rukh’s birthday, thousands of his fans assemble in front of the bungalow. Shah Rukh comes out on his balcony and greets his fans.
The three-judge bench of Supreme Court headed by Justice Surya Kant, Justice Joymalya Bagchi, and Justice V. Mohan, has endorsed the National Green Tribunal’s (NGT) order. The Court also questioned the petitioner's motives and completely dismissed the appeal.
Santosh Daundkar, a social activist from Mumbai, had opposed the construction work at 'Mannat'. He argued that the 'Coastal Regulation Zone' (CRZ) clearance granted for the project violated environmental norms. Earlier, the National Green Tribunal had dismissed this petition in September 2025.
Shah Rukh Khan will soon be seen in the film 'King'. It is an upcoming action-thriller directed by Siddharth Anand. His daughter, Suhana Khan, will also appear alongside him in the movie.
