‘Dhurandhar’: Rakesh Bedi Reveals He Was Almost Replaced Before Aditya Dhar’s Big Decision

Rakesh Bedi is one of them. It came as a revelation in an interview that he would not have acted in the movie 'Dhurandhar' if the director hadn't taken a major decision.
Recently, Rakesh Bedi told Pinkvilla that the director, Aditya Dhar, was informed that Rakesh Bedi would not be able to do the role of Jameel in the movie. He wanted to replace Rakesh Bedi with a senior actor. But the director did not pay heed to it. He thought that no one else could do this role better than Rakesh Bedi.
Ranveer Singh plays the lead role in 'Dhurandhar'. Besides him, other prominent actors like Rakesh Bedi, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Danish Pandor also appeared in the film. The film has grossed approximately ₹294.47 crore at the Indian box office in just ten days.
The makers have also announced a sequel to 'Dhurandhar'. The second part will hit theaters next year. Audiences are excited about the sequel. 'Dhurandhar 2' will be released on March 19, 2026. It will compete at the box office with South actor Yash's film 'Toxic'.
