According to a post by Viral Bhayani, ''Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi has now reportedly contracted dengue. He was shooting for his upcoming pan-Indian film, OG, with Power Star Pawan Kalyan. According to reports, he was shooting in Aarey Colony, Goregaon, Mumbai, where he started feeling symptoms of dengue. Sources close to the film's production unit have confirmed that Emraan Hashmi is now recovering and has taken a break from shooting for some time.''

South star Pawan Kalyan's upcoming film 'OG' (also known as They Call Him) is an upcoming gangster action thriller film. This film is being directed by Sujeeth. Apart from Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi and Priyanka Mohan will be seen in the film. This is Emraan's first Telugu film. Thaman is composing the music of the film.

In March this year, the sequel of the film 'Awarapan' was announced on Emraan's birthday. This film of Emraan will be released in theaters on April 3, 2026. Awarapan was directed by Mohit Suri, now who will direct its sequel has not been revealed yet and neither has it been revealed which actress will be seen with Emraan in the sequel of the film.
