In a conversation with Zoom, Rakesh Bedi explained what makes the sequel to 'Dhurandhar' different. He also discussed whether a third installment, 'Dhurandhar 3', is in the pipeline. Following the success of "Dhurandhar 2," fans have begun requesting the makers to release a third installment, "Dhurandhar 3."
When asked about fans' demands for a "Dhurandhar 3," Rakesh said, "I don't think there will be a third installment. But "Dhurandhar" is a franchise. It can be made with other actors at any time. The story of "Dhurandhar 2" ends with the spy (Ranveer Singh) returning to his country."
Regarding how "Dhurandhar 2" differs from the first part, he said, "People weren't going to watch the second part lightly. They were curious to know what happens in the second part. Now, audiences are waiting to see the third part."
Directed by Aditya Dhar, this two-part spy thriller franchise has been a box office success. The first installment, released in December 2025, grossed approximately ₹1,300 crore worldwide. Its sequel, titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, was released on March 19, 2026. It became the first Hindi film to cross the ₹1,100 crore mark at the domestic box office. It has grossed over ₹1,750 crore worldwide to date.
