Satluj, the film by Diljit Dosanjh, is currently making news. Similarly, the actor Kunal Kamra has also made his remarks regarding the film. The actor wrote an open letter that has become the talk of the town.
The film Satluj, which had earlier been titled as Punjab '95, was removed from the streaming website ZEE5 within 48 hours of its release on the platform without any edits. Responding to this, Kunal Kamra wrote an open note.
He shared the post and asked, "Can you explain why 127 cuts were suggested for 'Punjab '95'? The same film, now released as 'Sutlej,' was removed from OTT platforms within two days. The CBFC has no authority over OTT platforms or international releases."
Kamra further wrote that the film tells the story of Jaswant Singh Khalra, who exposed human rights violations and paid the price with his life. He said that if people can't watch a film based on true events, the public should know the reason.
He also said that this sends a clear message to filmmakers that if they portray the story of a great man from a particular community, they will face significant difficulties.

Kunal Kamra also accused the Censor Board of adopting double standards. He appealed to journalists to ask tough questions about why some films are easily approved, while others have to wait for years.
He cited examples of how some films receive a red carpet, while others face difficulties. He also questioned how justified it is to thwart a director's years of hard work like this.
Concluding his note, Kamra wrote, "During Nehru's time, such cases were challenged in court." He questioned what kind of cinema would thrive if there were so many obstacles to telling true stories. Finally, he sharply remarked that Jaswant Singh Khalra had once again been "kidnapped"-this time by the CBFC.
