Imtiaz Ali Defends Sharvari and Vedang Raina Comparisons, Says 'Acting Isn’t a Competition'

Imtiaz Ali was recently quoted as having spoken about the comparisons drawn between the two young stars in the film, Sharvari and Vedang Raina. He made it clear that acting was not about competing.
He stated, "Acting isn't like boxing. Artists work together rather than against one another. Some people preferred Vedang, while others liked Sharvari, and that is perfectly fine."
The film's narrative is set against the backdrop of the 1947 India-Pakistan Partition, portraying an emotional tale of love, separation, and healing. While Naseeruddin Shah plays a powerful role in the film, the love story between Sharvari and Vedang is also winning hearts.
Imtiaz Ali also highly praised their chemistry. He remarked, "When Sharvari and Vedang appear on screen together, the scenes become even more beautiful. In my career, I have rarely seen such a brilliant pairing of co-actors. They worked together as a team."
The film features a host of talented actors and is performing well at the box office. According to reports, it is poised to cross the ₹50 crore mark soon.
