Kriti Sanon is now creating waves due to her latest movie "Cocktail 2". The movie has been appreciated by everyone, and Kriti has won accolades for her performance and character in the movie. Today, she is one of the top actresses in the film industry. But coming from an outsider's perspective, her journey to reach here was not an easy one.

In an interview recently, the actress explained how she steadily reached the height of success, and also stated that it wasn't an instant success story. She talked about how she had cried after her first photo shoot and first ramp walk, but never gave up.

Speaking to 'Hindustan Times City', Kriti reflected on her journey, acknowledging that it was far from easy. "There were moments when I doubted myself and felt disappointed when I didn't get the opportunities I wanted. It wasn't a straight path to success; it was a gradual progression. I’ve seen ups and downs, but I’ve always possessed the spirit to keep trying and never give up."

"My first photoshoot went terribly. My first ramp show didn't go well either. Both times, I returned home in tears. Yet, I kept trying for the next show, the next photoshoot, and the next audition-and that is how I reached where I am today. The desire to learn and the refusal to give up are what brought me here."

During the conversation, Kriti also spoke about the issue of nepotism. She believes that while star kids-much like actors such as Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt-still have to prove themselves, they often secure opportunities much more easily than outsiders.

She noted that there are times when you learn you are being considered for a film, only to see the role go to someone else. However, the issue isn't solely about nepotism; many actors from film backgrounds are genuinely talented. Whether it is Ranbir Kapoor or Alia Bhatt, they have proven their mettle.

They may have received opportunities more easily than others, but they have worked hard and possess immense talent. The real problem arises when someone continues to land opportunities for eight or nine years without ever proving themselves as an actor.

That is precisely what I find wrong. If you don't come from a film background and fail to prove yourself within the first few years, you get sidelined or ignored.

Over her 12-year career, Kriti has repeatedly demonstrated her capability. She won a National Award for her performance in 'Mimi' and has starred in successful films such as 'Bareilly Ki Barfi', 'Dilwale', 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya', and 'Crew'. Currently, she is garnering praise for her performance in Homi Adajania's 'Cocktail 2'.
