Riteish Deshmukh is preparing for the release of his upcoming film "Raja Shivaji," in which he plays the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Ahead of the film's release on May 1st, a controversy has erupted. This controversy began when Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, popularly known as Bageshwar Baba, made some comments about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Now, Riteish has responded to the comments made about the great warrior through a post.

On his X account, Ritesh wrote, "As a Shiva devotee, I absolutely do not accept this when someone fabricates things about our revered deity. It makes me very angry. Attempts to diminish his legacy will not be tolerated. Just as the Sahyadri mountain ranges have existed for millions of years, so too will this name endure for billions of years. That name belongs to the Emperor of Emperors, Chhatrapati Maharaj."

Bageshwar Baba faced severe criticism when he said, "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was very tired from fighting wars; he was completely exhausted. One day, he went to Ramdas Swami. He took off his crown and placed it down, saying, 'I don't want to fight anymore. You take care of this crown; you alone manage this kingdom. We will follow your orders. We cannot fight anymore; we are very tired and we need rest.'" We don't want to do anything for a few days."

The film "Raja Shivaji" is based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film tells the story of Shivaji Maharaj's early journey, highlighting his vow to establish Swaraj and his stand against the powerful rulers of the time.
