In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Esha Gupta spoke openly about the news of her dating and affair with Hardik Pandya. The actress said, 'Yes, we were talking for some time. I don't think we were dating. But yes, we were talking for a few months. We were at that 'maybe it will happen, maybe it won't' stage. It ended before we reached the dating stage. So it wasn't dating. We met once or twice, that's it. So yes, as I said, it was a few months and then it was over.' Esha Gupta's name was linked with Hardik Pandya in the year 2018 and there were talks of an affair between the two.

The actress said that we could have been a couple, but I don't think it was destined to happen. Hardik and I were not as compatible as a couple should be. However, everyone has their own type. I cannot wake up every morning with self-obsession. I cannot wake up every morning and think Oh my God, how good we both look or praise ourselves. I can't tolerate it at all.
