Dhurandhar 2 was originally scheduled to clash with Yash's Toxic. However, with Toxic postponed, Pawan Kalyan's film Ustaad Bhagat Singh's release date was set for March 19th.

Since the release date of Ustad Bhagat Singh has been revealed, discussions about a clash have once again begun. Director Harish Shankar has now given his reaction to the news of releasing Ustad Bhagat Singh alongside the highly anticipated film Dhurandhar The Revenge.

In an interview with Galt, Harish Shankar, speaking about the clash between Ustad Bhagat Singh and Dhurandhar, said that more than one film can do well at the box office. He said, "Aditya Dhar is a great filmmaker. I saw Uri. He's a very impressive, very influential filmmaker. All Indian films should consider Dhurandhar their competition, but we have our Telugu states for this film."

Also, they are two very different genres. If instead of Dhurandhar, it had been a Shah Rukh Khan film, with songs, a full-on entertainer, we would have thought, 'Oh, this is just like our film.' But Bhagat Singh and Dhurandhar are completely different films."

The director of Ustad Bhagat Singh also said that the decision to decide the film's release date is not his alone. He said, "It's a collective decision. It wasn't just in my hands. Somewhere I also thought, 'I'm doing a film with Pawan sir after such a long time, and that film has to compete with another big film...'

Still, whether it's Sankranti or summer, it's always a combination. There's room for 2-3 big films. It's not like they won't show any other film besides Dhurandhar in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana."
