Ford said about his character that this is a character that is based on the work of a brilliant actor. He said, "As far as I am concerned, this is a bonus for me." Ford further said, "Under the rules of the Marvel Universe, it is okay for one actor to replace another actor in some way. I was happy to get this opportunity. I always wanted to do a Marvel movie. I wanted to be a part of the joy of these entertainments."
