Bobby Deol never hesitates to share how he feels about being with his elder brother Sunny Deol. Now, there has been a recent recall by Bobby of how close they actually are. It was when Bobby Deol was shooting his first film, Barsaat, that the incident took place. The day was going fine, but one day when Bobby was shooting for a horse-riding sequence in England, something went amiss.

Recalling this, Bobby said, "I still remember, I broke my leg in England during the shooting. I was riding a horse, collided with another horse, lost control, and fell hard to the ground. I noticed that one of my legs was completely twisted. I tried to stand up, but fell again. Bhaiya (Sunny) was there, he lifted me on his shoulders and carried me away. I felt like nothing bad could happen.

Bobby Deol recalled that Sunny Deol didn't waste a moment. He immediately took his younger brother to a nearby hospital. But when the doctors gave up, Sunny stepped in again. Bobby said, "He took me to a nearby hospital, but later I learned that the doctors there said, 'We can't save his leg.' That's when Bhaiya airlifted me to London overnight. I underwent surgery there. He has always been with me."

Bobby Deol said that even though the accident left him with an iron rod and screws in his leg, it never slowed him down. He said, "It's been over 30 years now. I still have a rod and screws in my leg, and although it hurts a little, I've gotten used to it. I can walk, run, dance, fight, jump, do action—what more could you ask for?"

Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol are the sons of veteran actor Dharmendra and his first wife, Prakash Kaur. Dharmendra later married actress Hema Malini, and they have two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol.

On the work front, Bobby Deol was last seen in "The Baddies of Bollywood." Sunny Deol will next be seen in "Border 2" and "Lahore 1947."
