Nagpur BJP Women’s Wing backs Amruta Fadnavis, seeks FIR against singer Anjali Bharti
CM Devendra Fadnavis's Wife Amruta: The BJP Women's Wing has supported CM Fadnavis' wife. They have demanded action against the Buddhist singer for her offensive comments about Amruta Fadnavis.
On Tuesday, the Nagpur BJP Women's Wing supported Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' wife, Amruta Fadnavis. They demanded a criminal case be filed against singer Anjali Bharti for her derogatory remarks against Amruta.
Anjali Bharti, a Buddhist singer, was seen making controversial comments while talking about sexual violence against women at an event in Bhandara district. BJP Women's Wing chief Divyatai Dhurde, Ashwini Jichkar, Prashansa Bhoyas, and others have demanded that an FIR be lodged against Anjali Bharti by the Police Commissioner.
Additionally, Dharampal Meshram, Vice Chairman of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Commission and a BJP leader, condemned the remarks and said the police should not allow such events in the future. Meanwhile, Congress MLA Nitin Raut said that Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar always advocated for the rights and dignity of women, and that attacks on their dignity will never be tolerated under any circumstances.
Amruta Fadnavis is the wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Amruta is a prominent banker, a renowned playback singer, an actress, and a social activist. She has played an active role in social work through the Divyaaj Foundation. She also serves as a Senior Vice President at Axis Bank.
