‘O Romeo’ OTT Release: When and Where to Watch Shahid–Tripti’s Film

Vishal Bhardwaj's new movie, "O Romeo," is set to be released on the big screen on the 13th of February, 2026. In the movie, we get to see Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri playing the lead roles. Previously, they have worked together in films like "Kaminey," "Haider," and "Rangoon." 

After the theatrical release of "O Romeo," it will also be streaming on Amazon Prime Video. A film typically streams on OTT platforms after a theatrical run of 45-60 days. Therefore, the film is expected to be released on OTT platforms by late March or April 2026. Some media reports suggest that "O Romeo" may also stream on OTT platforms as early as March 27th, but this has not yet been officially confirmed.

"O Romeo" is a gangster story that blends action, violence, and romance. Shahid Kapoor plays a dangerous contract killer and gang leader, covered in tattoos. The story revolves around his relationship with Afsha (Tripti Dimri). Afsha comes seeking help, and a deep, passionate, and tragic love story unfolds. The film also depicts the conflict between rival gangs and moral dilemmas.

Vishal Bhardwaj's "O Romeo" is inspired by the story of Hussain Ustara in Hussain Zaidi's book "Mafia Queens of Mumbai." Apart from Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri, it also stars actors like Avinash Tiwari, Nana Patekar, Farida Jalal, Disha Patani and Tamannaah Bhatia.
