Saurabh Shukla Talks Investing, Savings and Life Lessons at GMF 2025
GMF Award 2025: The Growth Multiplier Finfest (GMF) & Awards 2025 concluded on Saturday. Veteran Bollywood actor Saurabh Shukla also attended the event, sharing some interesting stories.
Organized by AAFM India and Amar Ujala Bonus, the Growth Multiplier Finfest & Awards 2025 ended on Saturday in the presence of Union Road and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and film actor Saurabh Shukla. On this occasion, over two days, leaders of the BFSI sector sat to discuss ways to further scale up their involvement in this fast-expanding economy of India.
"The conference kicked off at The Lalit Hotel in Mumbai on Friday, and it was inaugurated by Director of NISM Sashi Krishnan," a press release stated. Following this, mutual fund leaders deliberated on a variety of topics. After a day of presentations and panel discussions, a colorful Sufi music night was organized. Delhi's Usul Band enthralled the BFSI giants with Sufi songs. On Saturday, leaders from the mutual fund, technology, insurance, and banking sectors once again gathered to discuss a variety of topics. A heated debate between equity and commodity giants took place on the topic "Gold vs. Equity: Who Will Win the Race?" Equity giants Rachit Khandelwal and Chandan Taparia presented their arguments on the merits and appropriateness of investing in equities. Commodity giants Ajay Kedia and Jaiprakash Gupta also spoke in favor of commodities.
Bollywood actor Saurabh Shukla spoke openly with Amar Ujala about understanding money, investing, and saving, sharing some interesting anecdotes. He said he never had time to appreciate money because it didn't come in. He said he was a brilliant commerce student and didn't know about debit and credit. Now, all he knows about finance is not to put all his eggs in one basket. He said that humor is the most effective medicine for overcoming sorrow. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who was the chief guest at the event, shared his thoughts on India's roadmap. On this occasion, Nitin Gadkari and Saurabh Shukla presented awards to experts who have made outstanding contributions in the financial sector.
