Vaani Kapoor made her debut in the industry in the year 2013 with the film 'Shuddh Desi Romance'. Since then she has performed numerous glamorous characters. Now this year she has also made her OTT debut and she has been successful from the very first series itself. Vaani's performance in Yash Raj Films' web show 'Mandala Murders', packed with suspense and thrill, is receiving high praise, which was dropped on Netflix last week. The actress told that while doing this role, she stepped out of her comfort zone, which was not easy.

Vaani is seen in the role of CBI officer Riya Thomas in the series. Through 'Mandala Murders', Vaani has started a new chapter of her career. Meanwhile, she talked about her period of struggle in Bollywood. Vaani, who has been playing glamorous and romantic roles in Bollywood films for many years, has appeared in a different avatar in 'Mandala Murders'. She says that this change was quite challenging for her. During a conversation with Moneycontrol, when Vaani was asked about choosing this character, she said that it was different from all her previous characters.

Rhea said that she had to play this character only through her eyes without any emotion and long dialogues and dramatic expressions. Doing this was emotionally and mentally tiring, but this challenge attracted her. Vaani Kapoor tried to get out of her comfort zone for 'Mandala Murders'. She says that continuity was the most difficult part. You cannot get out of the character's design. But, the burden of action sequences, physical training and mental trauma took her out of her comfort zone.

Vani also talks about her initial struggles in Mumbai. She said that being an introvert, it was difficult for her to adjust to the glamorous world of Bollywood and its ways after coming from Delhi. She came to Mumbai without knowing anyone. After coming here, she told herself that she would give a year or two to this dream of hers and if it did not come true, she would move on.
