The poster of the movie "Ranabali" has been released, featuring Rashmika and Vijay side by side. Today, the director of the movie Rahul Sankrityan has posted a special message about the movie on his social media handle. Following that, Vijay Deverakonda has posted an emotional response to Rahul’s message.
Director Rahul Sankrityan shared a post about his film "Ranabali" on X today, writing, "We released the wedding poster for "Ranabali" yesterday. But it wasn't just any ordinary poster." It was a special and emotional moment.' Rahul further wrote, 'I love old photographs-those of my parents and grandparents standing in front of the camera, with no artificial smiles, no pretense, no worry about whether the photo will turn out well. Just the truth. Just who they are. Those photographs seem so honest and forever.'
Rahul Sankrityayan further wrote, 'When creating the story of 'Ranabali,' I wanted that same truth and simplicity. The 1800s weren't all glitz and glamour. It was a tough, down-to-earth, hard-working time, but even then, marriage was highly respected, deep, and relationships were strong. The day Vijay and Rashmika arrived on set in wedding attire, something magical happened. It didn't feel like they were just actors acting in costumes. It felt like they had truly stepped back into that era.'
Rahul further wrote, "I asked for a very simple background, no dramatic lighting, no fake poses. Just silence, and we captured that moment in the photo. The best part was that both of them were completely lost in the moment. It felt like a very old memory had suddenly surfaced. And when it also resembles their real-life wedding, it becomes even more incredible. Sometimes film and real life seem to point to each other. This lasting feeling is the strongest thing in 'Ranabali.' Some relationships truly become immortal. And I think this might be a photo of their wedding from a previous life."
Vijay Deverakonda responded to this special post on Twitter by Rahul Sankrityayan, director of his upcoming film 'Ranabali,' writing, "This moved me so much. Rahul Sankrityayan, your deep attention to real events and people excites and inspires me. It's so interesting to read and learn about it." This is the story of our planet and mine too. Rashmika, we all join you in this amazing journey of making great cinema.
