Actor Chunky Pandey posted a photo of Pahlaj Nihalani on his Instagram Stories. Along with the photo, he wrote, "With deep sorrow, we inform you that our beloved Pahlaj Nihalani passed away on June 4th, 2026. His last rites will be performed today, June 4th, 2026, at 3 p.m. at the Santacruz Hindu Crematorium." We are grateful for your thoughts and prayers as we bid him a final farewell.
In 1987, Pahlaj Nihalani produced the film "Aag Hi Aag." The film starred Dharmendra and Shatrughan Sinha in lead roles. It was also the film that marked Chanke Pandey's acting debut, playing the role of Vijay. The film was made at a cost of ₹2.25 crore (22.5 million rupees). It grossed ₹9 crore (90 million rupees) at the box office.
