Big movies such as Ranbir Kapoor's 'Ramayana' and Mahesh Babu's 'Varanasi' are getting lots of attention. Yet, people focus more on their massive budgets rather than the actual stories. Recently, actor Manoj Bajpayee chimed in, urging audiences not to sweat the film's earnings or how much it cost. So folks should just enjoy the movies for what they are.

In a report in the Hindustan Times, when Manoj Bajpayee was asked about the makers of films such as Ramayana and Varanasi heavily promoting their huge budgets, he said that it was all a publicity stunt. This tactic has been used for the past 15 years to portray films as hits.

To explain to the audience, Manoj Bajpayee said, "This disease has become so widespread that even ordinary people I meet at the airport start asking me about the film's earnings figures. I tell them, 'This money isn't coming into your bank account. The audience's only connection to the film should be whether they liked it or not. The 500-600 crore rupees that the makers talk about doesn't benefit the audience. The film's business is solely the producer's job."

Nitesh Tiwari's film "Ramayana" is considered the most expensive film in the history of Indian cinema, with a budget of 4,000 crore rupees. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor (Lord Ram), Sai Pallavi (Sita), Sunny Deol (Hanuman), Ravi Dubey (Lakshman), and Yash (Ravana). The first part will be released this Diwali.

Directed by SS Rajamouli, "Varanasi" has a budget of approximately ₹1,400 crore. Mahesh Babu plays the lead role, and Priyanka Chopra is making her South Indian comeback with this film. Significantly, it will be India's first film to be shot entirely in the IMAX format.
