Deep Money’s Journey
Born Amandeep Singh and hailing from Delhi, Deep Money made his debut in 2011 with Dope Shope, his collaboration with Yo Yo Honey Singh. The track’s mix of Punjabi music and hip-hop made it one of the most popular party songs of its time, and it remains a club and wedding favourite to this day.
He followed it up with songs such as Heeriye, and collaborated with other artists, including Raftaar on Bottle. He also moved into film music, working on Bollywood projects such as Race 3 (2018) and Veerey Ki Wedding (2018).
Deep Money has spoken about how Punjabi music has grown in Hindi cinema. “In every Bollywood movie, there is at least one Punjabi song,” he once said, adding that Punjabi music would “break more records.”

Why It Matters: A Familiar Voice From Punjab’s Party Era
For many listeners, Deep Money’s voice is tied to the era when Punjabi pop went from regional hits to national dance floors. Billo is a familiar word in Punjabi songs, an affectionate term for a beautiful woman, often linked to striking eyes. By returning to that classic theme with a modern party beat, Deep Money is aiming to connect both with fans who grew up on Dope Shope and with a new generation discovering Punjabi pop through streaming and short videos.
It also shows how independent artists are increasingly owning the whole creative process, from writing and composing to singing.
Fifteen years after Dope Shope, Deep Money is betting on what made his music work: a catchy hook, a party beat and his familiar voice. Billo is out now.
