Director Haroon has released the first look poster of his investigative thriller Buried, starring Vetri. The poster shows the actor in police trousers and a formal shirt, holding a revolver in his right hand. Shooting was completed in February this year.
The Story
According to sources close to the unit, Vetri plays an encounter specialist. The film focuses on the challenges such an officer faces because of his profession, how it affects his family, and how he deals with those pressures.
Why It Matters: A Cop Story Beyond the Action
Encounter specialists are often portrayed in cinema as larger-than-life heroes. Buried appears to take a different route by focusing on the personal cost of the job and its effect on the officer’s family. How the film handles this sensitive subject, which often sparks debate about police conduct, will shape how audiences respond.
The film also keeps Vetri busy. Known for 8 Thottakal, he has two thrillers in quick succession: Black Gold, releasing November 13, and now Buried, both with crime and action at their core.
