Mumbai, July 31 — Actress Jannat Zubair, who entered Lock Upp 2 as a visitor for her close friend Shivangi Joshi, offered a direct assessment of the growing speculation surrounding Joshi’s bond with co-contestant Harshad Chopda.

During her visit to the Netflix reality show, Zubair told Joshi that both the audience outside and the inmates inside the house perceive the pair as being “together.” She advised her friend to stay focused on her approach. “Don’t cry now. What you have been doing in these past two or three weeks, just keep doing that. Whatever is happening at home or whatever you’ve come to know, don’t think about what people outside are saying…” Zubair said.

She emphasised that events inside the house are being faithfully conveyed to viewers. “Whatever is going on between you and Harshad, that don’t want that narrative that you and him are together, but you need to understand, it’s not stupid that what’s happening inside is exactly what’s being seen outside,” she added.

Zubair further noted the consensus among those present. “Forget about the people outside; even the people inside are telling you that it looks like you two are together. Understand that. And, he’s a little too emotional. People tell him every week… You also cry…”

The 24-year-old actress is best known for her roles as Kashi in Kashi – Ab Na Rahe Tera Kagaz Kora, Phulwa in Phulwa, Phool Kunwar in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap and Pankti in Tu Aashiqui. In 2022 she appeared in the stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12. She recently won the third season of Laughter Chef: Unlimited Fun with partner Aly Goni.

Her latest project is the series Glory, directed by Karan Anshuman and starring Divyenndu, Pulkit Samrat and Suvinder Vicky. Filmed largely across Haryana, the story is set in a small-town boxing hub where two brothers investigate a murder while navigating a difficult reunion with their father, a renowned coach.

Zubair’s intervention on Lock Upp 2 highlighted the gap between personal intent and public perception that often arises in closely watched reality formats. By relaying the views of both external viewers and fellow contestants, she urged Joshi to recognise how the evolving dynamic with Chopda is being interpreted across the board.
