Mumbai, August 7 — Bollywood star Raveena Tandon displayed notable composure after an excited dog suddenly grabbed her outfit during the special screening of the film Oh My Dog on Thursday night in Mumbai.

Tandon attended the red carpet event to support the film and was seen warmly interacting with one of the dogs present. She sat down to pet and pose with the animal for the paparazzi stationed at the venue.

As the actress rose to pose for solo photographs, the dog appeared distracted by the hanging thread and sleeve of her yellow ensemble. It suddenly latched onto the fabric while barking.

Despite the unexpected moment, Tandon did not panic or pull away aggressively. She remained calm, allowing the handlers to regain control of the animal, and was later seen affectionately patting the dog once more.

While speaking with the media, Tandon clarified that the dog had not attacked her. According to the actress, the animal had become excited after noticing another dog approaching the red carpet and was reacting to that situation rather than intending any harm.

Over the years Tandon has frequently used her social media platforms to advocate for animal welfare and rescue efforts. Earlier this year she shared the story of rescuing a stranded dog she spotted alone on a highway during heavy rains, taking the animal into her car and ensuring it received care at an animal welfare facility.

Recently, upon returning to Mumbai after an outstation visit, she was greeted at the airport by her own pet dog. Tandon was seen pleasantly surprised and spent time playing with her pet at the terminal.

The red-carpet incident at the Oh My Dog screening highlighted both the unpredictable nature of live events involving animals and Tandon’s steady, affectionate response rooted in her long-standing support for animal welfare.
