Preity Zinta is returning to the film industry through a movie titled "Partition 1947". In the interview, she discussed her personal life, developments in Hindi films, as well as her previous romance with Sunny Deol.

After the 2018 film "Bhaiyaji Superhit," actress Preity Zinta is now returning to the film industry with actor Sunny Deol in the film "Bantwara 1947." Preity Zinta explains the reason for her absence from acting and the film industry for so long, "I was doing the best things in my life. I was spending time with my family and enjoying motherhood. I devoted a lot of time to my career, and after that, I wanted to focus on my personal life."

Preity Zinta further said, "I believe that every phase of life should be lived and enjoyed to the fullest. I was doing the same. While living outside India, I missed India a lot. However, I never missed acting, because right now I am playing the best role of my life, that is the role of a mother."

Regarding choosing Partition 1947 for her comeback, she says, "I always wanted to work with Rajkumar Santoshi. I had never worked with him before. I wanted to do a period film. Furthermore, I loved the film's story, which emphasizes that even in the most difficult times, there's a ray of hope. People say it's a story between two countries, but this is the story of one family and how they cope with Partition."

Regarding the current changes in Hindi cinema, Preeti says, "India is proudly telling its stories now. Cinema now tells stories about our culture, our regional people, our real heroes, and our military, among many other things. Earlier (when Preeti started in Hindi cinema), cinema was mostly about NRIs (Non-Resident Indians) and what they found abroad.

Now, our cinema is focusing on our achievements and history, like how we reached Mars. Stories connected to our roots are being told." Currently, Indians are making their mark all over the world, and that's now reflected in our cinema as well."

This is Preity's fifth film with Sunny Leone after Farz, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, Heroes, and Bhaiyaji Superhit. Regarding her growing comfort with Sunny over time, Preity says, "After so many films, my comfort level with him has increased. I was very intimidated by him when I first worked with him. Actually, Bobby (Bobby Deol) and I were very good friends even before I entered acting. One day, another friend of mine asked me to call Bobby at 10:30-11:00 pm. I called. Sunny sir picked up the phone and scolded me loudly, asking, "Is this the time to call?"

I immediately hung up. I even wrote about it in my diary. Then, when I went to shoot Farz with him for the first time, I thought he would remember it, but that wasn't the case. My first film, Farz, ended in stress. We got a little more comfortable with each other in The Hero: Love Story of a Spy."
