Actor Anil Kapoor shared an emotional note on the completion of 42 years of his film 'Shakti'. Expressing his gratitude to the veterans associated with the film, he shared the feelings in his heart. Anil Kapoor shared on his official account of X on Tuesday, "42 years of Shakti. grateful to Javed Sahab for recommending my name for this iconic film. I just happened to be stuck in a far-off hotel for hours, till Smita ji-cancer of kindness-literally forced me to be closer, offering me her very room. Really, the feeling was as though one among the family.

In the year 1982, Ramesh Sippy directed Shakti for producer Mushir-Riaz's company M.R. Productions. This film had been in the news at the time of its production because it was the first film in which two stalwarts of Hindi cinema, namely Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar, were working together.

The movie was penned by the then-star duo Salim Javed. Prior to 'Shakti', the Salim-Javed duo had written for Ramesh Sippy such blockbusters as 'Andaz', 'Seeta Aur Geeta', 'Sholay', and 'Shaan'. But the film received only average success at the box office.

Anil Kapoor has played a cameo role in this film. The entry of Anil Kapoor in the film happens after the death of Amitabh Bachchan's character. Anil played his role as the son of Amitabh Bachchan in this film.
