Global Punjabi icon Diljit Dosanjh brought his signature humor and energy to the streets of Germany this week as he prepares to kick off the highly anticipated European segment of his world tour.
Documenting his time in the German capital for millions of social media followers, the singer-actor explored major cultural landmarks while engaging with local fans. During his walk through central Berlin, Dosanjh broke into an impromptu bhangra performance on the public pavement alongside a companion, drawing amused glances from passersby and highlighting the global footprint of Punjabi pop culture.
A central highlight of his city tour was a visit to the historic Berlin Victory Column (Siegessäule), a 19th-century monument topped by a gilded statue of Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. Dosanjh documented his climb up the site's famous 285-step spiral staircase—a physical feat that tested the performer's endurance.
Visibly out of breath mid-ascent, Dosanjh joked with his team in Punjabi, saying, "Paise de karke pareshani mol li" ("I paid money just to invite trouble upon myself").
Upon reaching the observation platform at the summit, the artist panned his camera toward the iconic golden sculpture, referencing the popular Bollywood track Baby Doll by jokingly calling the statue "Baby doll main sone di" ("I am a golden baby doll").
