Rajinikanth Unveils Motion Poster of Oru Kaidhiyin Diary
Superstar Rajinikanth releases the motion poster of Suseenthiran’s crime thriller Oru Kaidhiyin Diary starring Shanthnu Bhagyaraj.
Chennai, August 17 — Superstar Rajinikanth on Monday released the motion poster of director Suseenthiran’s crime thriller Oru Kaidhiyin Diary, featuring actor Shanthnu Bhagyaraj in the lead.
Rajinikanth unveiled the motion poster in the presence of the film’s core team, generating interest among fans and film enthusiasts.
Produced jointly by Kannan Ravi and Deepak Ravi under the banner of KRG Kannan Ravi Group, the film stars Shanthnu Bhagyaraj as the protagonist, with Seeman in a pivotal role. Sam C.S. is composing the music.
Sources close to the unit said the story is set against the backdrop of Madurai and revolves around a father-son relationship. The narrative is expected to blend family emotions with action and feature fast-paced developments. The lifestyle of Madurai and the emotional shifts in the central relationship will form important elements of the story, the sources added.
The recently released motion poster has drawn attention for the looks of Seeman and Shanthnu, the Madurai temple towers in the background, and a design resembling a handwritten manuscript. The title Oru Kaidhiyin Diary (“A Prisoner’s Diary”), combined with the father-son storyline, has further heightened anticipation.
Oru Kaidhiyin Diary will be the 10th film produced by the KRG Kannan Ravi Group. The production house has focused on quality commercial cinema and strong storytelling, having recently backed projects including Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimayil and TN 2026. Sources said the makers are placing equal emphasis on both story and production quality.
Director Suseenthiran, known for blending family emotions, action, crime and drama, will explore a father-son relationship once again following the success of films such as Naan Mahaan Alla and Pandianadu.
The film’s unit is reportedly planning to complete the shooting in a single schedule.
