Yash’s 'Toxic' Advance Bookings Open Ahead of Aug 26 Release
Advance tickets open for Yash's 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' ahead of its Aug 26 global multilingual release.
BANGALORE — Advance ticket sales for director Geetu Mohandas’s highly anticipated action-thriller, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, officially opened on Friday across major ticketing platforms. Early sales reports indicate immediate high volume, underscoring strong audience interest for actor Yash’s first theatrical appearance since the record-breaking global run of K.G.F: Chapter 2.
Announcing the milestone on social media platform X, Yash shared a reflective statement detailing the collaborative process behind the scale of the production:
"A fairy tale isn't just what this film is. It's also what making it was. One string of thought, talent from everywhere, each doing right by their craft, avalanching into TOXIC. 'Peculiar Alchemy,' as our Director calls it. Five days to go. Book now."
Promotional Campaign Highlights Star Ensemble
To coincide with the opening of pre-sales, production houses KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations released an exclusive behind-the-scenes promotional featurette. The video captures director Geetu Mohandas alongside principal cast members Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, Akshay Oberoi, and Sudev Nair discussing the creative approach taken toward the film's narrative.
The cast highlighted Mohandas’s distinct cinematic vision and non-linear storytelling style. The director previously earned critical recognition for indie features including Liar's Dice and Moothon.
Global Market Expectations Following 'KGF' Benchmark
The opening of ticket sales marks a key phase in the film's international rollout. Yash’s previous feature, K.G.F: Chapter 2, earned over ₹1,200 crore at the global box office, establishing a significant commercial baseline for his return to lead roles.
Shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, Toxic is designed as a cross-market release with localized dubs in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. The narrative centers around a complex dark action drama following factional dynamics within a historical port setting.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) recently granted Toxic an 'A' (Adults Only) classification with minimal modifications, clearing the path for its worldwide theatrical debut on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
