The treatment of actresses in Bollywood is a point of discussion, and many actresses have put forward their point of view regarding the same. But now, an actress of 'Twilight' fame, Kristen Stewart, has commented on the treatment of actresses in Hollywood. She also mentioned that actresses are being treated like puppets.

According to Variety, Kristen Stewart, speaking about the mistreatment of actresses in Hollywood, said, "Actresses are treated very badly in the industry. I have to tell you." People think anyone can become an actress, but when I sat down to discuss my film as a director for the first time, I thought, "Wow, this is a different experience. They're talking to me like I'm some genius." Reflecting on her recent directorial debut, the actress said, "The perception that directors possess supernatural abilities isn't true. This perception is perpetuated by men. It's not that I complain all the time, but it's worse for women than for men. They're treated like puppets, even though they're not."

This isn't the first time Kristen Stewart has expressed her opinion on the status of women in Hollywood. She said, "It's a common thing on set before acting starts. If actors can hide their weaknesses and behave like a gorilla, beating their chests before crying in front of the camera, it feels a little less embarrassing. It makes it feel like magic, like what you're doing is so impossible that no one else can do it." Men are glorified for maintaining self-confidence, while women are not.

On the work front, Kristen Stewart has made her directorial debut with "The Chronology of Water." The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and received a standing ovation. Based on the memoir of American writer Lydia Yuknavitch, the film tells the story of one woman's journey to transform trauma into art. Kristen Stewart has been working on the project for eight years, and it's clear that it's a passion project for her. She co-wrote the script with Andy Mingo, and the film stars Imogen Poots, Jim Belushi, and Thora Birch.
