Pawan Malhotra Praises Diljit Dosanjh, Calls Him One of the Finest Actors in the Industry
Punjab 1984: National Award-winning actor Pawan Malhotra believes that Diljit Dosanjh gained recognition in the Hindi film industry through the 2014 Punjabi film "Punjab 1984," in which the two worked together.
"Punjab 1984" became an initial film for Diljit’s debut into the world of Hindi cinema. It is a movie directed by Anurag Singh and shows how Punjab was going through hard times in 1984. Kirron Kher also appeared in this film.
Speaking about Diljit’s career, Pawan Malhotra shared, "I did my first Punjabi film 'Punjab 1984,' and through that film Diljit got noticed by Hindi film industry. Prior to this, whenever I would say that I am doing a Punjabi film, they would make fun of me. But after knowing about 'Jatt & Juliet' of Diljit, people used to ask, 'Are you doing the same film again?'"
Pawan added that "Punjab 1984" had its own magic, which was among Anurag Singh's best films. "Later on, I did 'Super Singh' with Anurag Singh, but there was something different in that film," said the actor.

Pawan also shared that before taking on the film, he wanted to have a clear understanding of the story. He told the director that it was important to understand how the story would be presented, as it was a sensitive subject. However, the director presented it in a balanced and sensible manner, which convinced him to be a part of the project.
He said that this film is also special to him because both its story and the actors' performances were excellent. Pawan Malhotra praised Diljit Dosanjh, calling him one of the best actors in the industry. He said, "Diljit's work is fantastic." His speaking style, expressions, everything is amazing.' He also praised Kirron Kher's acting.
Diljit Dosanjh then made his Bollywood debut in 2016 with 'Udta Punjab.' His work in the film was well-received and he received the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Today, Diljit has established a strong presence in Punjabi cinema, Hindi films, music, and the international stage.
