In this short video, Shakira is seen with dancers on the Maracana Stadium field. She sings in English, "Here in this place / You are the one," a male voice joins her in singing, "What once broke you / Made you stronger."
According to Shakira's post, the full song will be released on May 14.
The FIFA tournament begins on June 11, with Mexico facing South Africa at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. The final is scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherport, New Jersey, just outside New York City.
