Punjab 95: Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh's film 'Punjab 95' will now be released internationally, not in India. The film is based on the life struggle of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. The film has not been released in India so far due to the censor board.

After the Dil-Luminati Tour 2024, Punjabi Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh is all geared up to make a return to the big screen with the movie 'Punjab 95'. The film is a biopic based on the life struggle of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, who mysteriously disappeared in 1995. The story of the film also shows the political and social conditions at that time when the issues related to the Sikh movement and human rights violations were hot in Punjab.
The film was earlier slated for release in India. However, due to a dispute with the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the exhibition of the same has not been done in India so far. The board recommended 120 cuts in the movie. Also, the director was asked to change the film's title as well.
In particular, a change in the title was demanded to reflect the year of death of Jaswant Singh Khalra, due to which the release of the film was postponed several times. Diljit has clarified that no cuts will be made in any of the cuts suggested by the CBFC and no changes will be made related to the international release of the film.
Now this film is going to be released not in India, but internationally. The film will be released abroad on February 7 without any cuts. The film's director Honey Trehan has worked on this project for a long time. This film will be seen touching a historical and sensitive subject.
