‘That’s the Power of Good Content’: R. Madhavan Says Dubai Fans Flying to India for ‘Dhurandhar 2’

The latest movie that is making headlines is ‘Dhurandhar 2’. Earlier, ‘Dhurandhar’ was a huge success at the box office. Although it was banned in many Middle Eastern countries, the movie still managed to collect ₹1300 crores. Now, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is set to release in March. Amidst all the buzz about the sequel, R. Madhavan spoke about Dubai audiences traveling to India to watch the movie.

In Sonia Shenoy's podcast, Madhavan talked about people traveling from Dubai to India to watch 'Dhurandhar'. He added, "That's the power of good content." Now, he's planning his business meetings around March 19th so he can attend them and watch "Dhurandhar 2." This is because it's not releasing in Dubai. I believe it would be easier for him to watch it on IPTV. He can do that. However, he wants to experience watching a film like "Dhurandhar" in a packed theater.

"Dhurandhar" is a spy action thriller. Ranveer Singh plays Indian spy Hamza, who infiltrates a Pakistani criminal syndicate on a mission to dismantle a terror network targeting India. Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt also play important roles. The film received mixed to positive reviews from critics.

According to media reports, "Dhurandhar 2" may explore Hamza's backstory and how he navigates the power and political games in Pakistan and accomplishes his mission. Madhavan, Ranveer, Arjun, and Sanjay will reprise their roles in the sequel. Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi will also be seen in pivotal roles. The film will be released in theaters on March 19.
