"Awarapan 2," which follows up the 2007 film "Awarapan," will soon be out in the theaters. The film has received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which is also known as the Censor Board. The film was rated U/A 16+. It needs nine edits to be made before its release.
There are nine major edits that have been requested by the CBFC from the filmmakers. The first edit is related to reducing violence, whereas the second is muting the offensive language. Moreover, there are some warnings regarding drugs and smoking along with child trafficking in the film.
The film's length has changed following the changes suggested by the Censor Board. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the film's final runtime is now 140 minutes and 20 seconds. It will be released in Hindi with English subtitles.
Awarapan 2 stars Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani, and Shabana Azmi in lead roles. The film is directed by Nitin Kakkar and will be released in theaters on August 14, 2026.
