Brahmastra 2: Deepika Padukone’s Spokesperson Denies Reports of Her Return as Amrita

'Brahmastra' movie was released in 2022. The movie featured Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the leading roles. Reports had been made previously that Deepika Padukone will feature in the sequel of the movie as Amrita. But the spokesperson of the actress has rejected the reports.

Deepika Padukone won't feature in 'Brahmastra 2,' as mentioned by the spokesperson of the actress. This rejects the viral news reports which mentioned that the actress will feature in the movie.

As per an India Today Digital report, Deepika Padukone has no connection with "Brahmastra 2." The spokesperson of Deepika Padukone mentioned that the news reports about the actress featuring in "Brahmastra 2" are baseless.

Deepika Padukone's spokesperson stated, "All recent reports suggesting Deepika Padukone is a part of "Brahmastra 2" or is in any way associated with the project are false."

However, speculation about Deepika's involvement wasn't without reason. A very brief glimpse of the actress was seen in the 2022 film "Brahmastra: Part One: Shiva."

In this film, she was portrayed as "Amrita." Amrita wields a powerful weapon and is a key character in the mythology of the "Astraverse."

Although her face was shown for only a few moments, the scene was crucial. In this, Deepika's character, Amrita, is seen running away from Dev while holding a child.

Dev is a mysterious character whose identity is revealed at the end of the film. This scene effectively laid the foundation for the story that was expected to be shown in Brahmastra 2.

On the work front, Deepika Padukone is currently busy with Allu Arjun's Raaka, in which she will play a key role. She will also be seen in Shah Rukh Khan's King. Regarding Deepika Padukone's personal life, she is pregnant. She will welcome her second child with Ranveer Singh next month.
