Abhishek Kumar on Chemistry with Jannat: SRK-Kajol Jodi
Abhishek Kumar reacts to audience praise for his chemistry with Jannat Zubair, saying fans compare them to Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol.
Mumbai, August 17 — Actors Abhishek Kumar and Jannat Zubair have spoken about the audience response to their on-screen chemistry, popularly referred to as #Abhinat on social media.
Appearing on Sony Entertainment Television’s upcoming show Indian Game Show, hosted by Bharti Singh and Harssh Limbachiyaa, Abhishek said viewers have been showing considerable affection for his pairing with Jannat.
He remarked light-heartedly, “Log pata hai kya bol rahe hain? Shah Rukh Khan aur Kajol ki jodi lag rahe hain. Aur mujhe lagta hain, Jannat aur mujhe na, Maldives jaana chahiye” (Do you know what people are saying? They look like Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. I feel like Jannat and I should go to the Maldives).
The comparison to one of Bollywood’s most popular pairs drew laughter from those present. Karan Kundrra quipped, “Yeh game show hain, prem show nahi hain” (This is a game show, not a love show).
The Indian Game Show is scheduled to premiere on August 24 at 8:00 pm on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
Earlier, Abhishek and Jannat appeared on the cooking reality show Laughter Chefs, where they shared an easy and friendly rapport. Jannat, paired with Aly Goni, went on to win the third season of the show.
Reflecting on the experience, Jannat said the show gave her a “best buddy.” Sharing pictures of herself and Aly with the trophy, she wrote on social media: “And bittus are the winners of Laughter Chefs!!! Couldn’t have, and wouldn’t have wanted to do this with anyone else but my Bitti. This journey gave me my best buddy, and we got to win it together. Thank you for all the loveeeee everyoneeee!!! Love, BITTUS.”
