The Delhi High Court on Friday handed down an interim ruling on the personality rights of actress Kajol Devgan. Justice Jyoti Singh restrained a number of the defendant parties from using the name, image, voice, or identity of the actress for business purposes without permission.

The court also stated that her personality rights must be protected from misuse through artificial intelligence (AI) and deepfake technology. Further orders will be passed so that no person uses her identity for digital content.

In addition, the court directed various defendants to remove obscene content published online against the actress. Advocate Praveen Anand appeared on behalf of Kajol Devgan.

In addition to Kajol, Ajay Devgn also appealed to the Delhi High Court last year for personality rights. The court ruled in the actor's favor, ordering the removal of all illegal sites and AI-generated deepfake videos and prohibiting their further use.

The court recently granted personality rights protection to Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, and Abhishek Bachchan. These decisions ensure that individuals have complete control over the digital use of their personalities.

Kajol was last seen in the film "Sarzameen." She will soon be part of the film "Maharagni: Queen of Queens," starring Prabhudeva and Naseeruddin Shah.
