'Hannah Montana' fame Miley Cyrus did not have the right to her own songs, pain spilled out after years

Hollywood actress and singer Miley Cyrus has now made a huge disclosure, which will leave her fans shocked. Miley, who became famous globally with the Disney Channel series 'Hannah Montana', revealed that she was banned from performing the show's songs after she parted with Disney. 

This series from 2006 to 2011 became the turning point in the career of Miley Cyrus. This personality, which represented the two lives of the ordinary girl as well as the superstar, became popular with people of all ages. When the series ended, and with it the relationship with Disney, she was surprised to discover she couldn't sing the show's tunes anywhere in public.

Miley said that even though she did not mind this much, because she had moved on from that era, she was definitely saddened to know that she was not allowed to sing the songs that had her voice and were associated with her face.

Speaking on a podcast show, Miley said 'It is not that I wanted to sing these songs, but I did not have the option. 'The Best of Both Worlds' does not fit between songs like 'We Can't Stop' and 'Wrecking Ball', but still, it was my voice and my face.

However, in the year 2024, Miley Cyrus was awarded the title of 'Disney Legend' by Disney. After this, she also got the right to perform the songs of 'Hannah Montana'. Miley called it a 'cool' experience and said that this honor gave her a chance to reconnect with her past. The Disney Legend title is a special honor given to those artists who have played an important role in Disney's legacy. This honor holds a lot of emotional significance for Miley, as it marks the beginning of her career.

Now, Miley Cyrus is focusing on new projects. Her next big project is a 55-minute-long visual album called 'Something Beautiful'. This album is adorned with 13 songs and will be released in theaters worldwide on June 27. In America, it will first hit the screens on June 12.
