Hollywood actor Graham Greene passed away, was ill for a long time

Hollywood legendary star famous Canadian-born actor Graham Greene, passed away at the age of 73. Green was ill for a long time, breathed his last in a hospital in Toronto. His agent, Michael Green, expressed grief while confirming his death.

He was born on 22 June 1952 in the Six Nations Reserve in Ontario (Canada), Graham Greene belonged to an aboriginal background. He did many small jobs before entering the film industry. After starting with theater in 1979, he debuted with the TV show The Great Detective. In 1983, he made his big screen debut with the film Running Brave.

Green's career reached its real heights in 1990, when he played the role of 'Kicking Bird' in Kevin Costner's film Dances with Wolves. The film received 12 Oscar nominations, and Green was nominated for Best Supporting Actor. This was the moment that gave him international recognition.

After the success of 'Dances with Wolves', Green played memorable roles in many superhit films. These include Maverick (1994) with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster, Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995) with Bruce Willis, The Green Mile (1999) with Tom Hanks, and Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009). Apart from this, he also worked on projects like Wind River, Transamerica, 1883, and Tulsa King.

Graham Greene is considered to have opened the doors for actors of tribal origin in Hollywood. He not only created a strong identity for himself, but also made the path easier for the generations to come. For this reason, he is considered an actor as well as a revolutionary face.

Green lived with his wife Hilary Blackmore and daughter Lily Lazare-Green. His assets were estimated to be around 1 million dollars i.e. around 8.32 crore Indian rupees. He believed that cinema is not just a means of entertainment but a medium to give direction to the society.
