Nandita Das Joins Seven-Member Jury at Busan International Film Festival
Nandita Das As A Jury In Busan International Film Festival: Actress and producer Nandita Das has joined the jury as a jury member in the 30th Busan International Film Festival, which is a proud moment for India.
The International Film Festival is organized in Busan City, South Korea. Actress and filmmaker Nandita Das has become a part of the seven-member jury team. The jury president is Korean filmmaker Na Hong-jin.
Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) has announced a competition section, in which they will be awarded during the closing of the festival. For this, BIFF has formed a seven-member jury team, which also includes actor-director Nandita Das.
BIFF director Jung Hansok expressed his views on this new beginning. He said, 'This is a new section, so we have tried to appoint jury members who have a deep vision, who have a bold approach and who have international influence. To broaden the scope of deliberation, Busan International Film Festival has increased the panel from five to seven this year. I am really looking forward to see which of the most outstanding Asian films of the year will be selected by these distinguished members led by jury president Na Hong-jin.'
Famous personality of Indian cinema Nandita Das, who is known for her acting in films like 'Earth', 'Fire' and 'Bawandar'. She made her directorial debut with the film 'Firaaq' in 2008. Apart from this, Nandita Das has participated as a jury member in many international film festivals like Cannes. She is also known for directing 'Manto' and 'Zvigato'.
