News of bomb at South superstar Vijay's house created a stir, police took immediate action

There was a panic in Neelankarai locality on East Coast Road in Chennai this morning after news of a bomb having been planted at South India's renowned actor and Tamizha Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chairman Vijay's residence was heard. The person made this call to the Chennai Police Control Room around 5:20 am, in which he stated that explosives had been set at Vijay's house.

As soon as the police received this information, three teams of the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad immediately left for the spot along with a sniffer dog unit. The entire house and its surrounding area were thoroughly searched. After about an hour of rigorous investigation, the police made it clear that no explosive device was present. This call proved to be just a rumour.

The bomb threat proved to be futile, but the police and the security personnel took the threat very seriously. The police of Neelankarai police station immediately lodged a case and initiated an investigation. According to initial reports, the caller is being identified, and the process of tracing the call has been started. Officials say that such prank calls try to spread panic in society, and strict action will be taken against the culprit.

It is worth noting that actor Vijay is not only a popular film star, but he has also recently entered politics. After the formation of Tamizha Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), he has emerged as a new force in Tamil Nadu politics.
