Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia on India-Pak Tension: Amid the tension between India and Pakistan, Bigg Boss 16 fame actress Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia has shared her experience of being stuck in a hotel room.

Actress Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia who arrived recently in Mohali for promoting Punjabi film 'Shockey Sardar' was stuck in an unpleasant situation all of a sudden when blackout and stringent security arrangements were made in the city owing to rising tension on the India-Pakistan border.
After these drone attacks, an alert was given in the whole city and even airports were shut down. Now the actress has revealed everything about it in an open statement.
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Nimrit said that she was in Mohali for the last two days, and after that, there was a plan to go to Bathinda, but the situation became such that it became difficult to get out of the hotel.
She said, 'All the lights of the city were switched off, and the sound of sirens was heard throughout the night. The administration had advised us to stay in the hotel and even keep the curtains of the windows closed.'
Being the daughter of retired army brigadier Gurdeep Singh Ahluwalia, Nimrit has seen such situations before. She said, 'My father was active in the Kargil war, so I maintained my composure instead of panicking. However, I could clearly feel the fear and uneasiness in that kind of environment.'
Amidst all this, a producer associated with the film helped Nimrit and her team a lot. She said that the producer sent home-cooked food to her and her team at the hotel, which was a heart-warming moment in that tense environment.
The actress' upcoming film 'Shockey Sardar' is releasing on May 16. Punjabi superstar Guru Randhawa will also be seen with Nimrit in this film.
