Bigg Boss sensation Archana Gautam has spoken out against the pervasive issue of nepotism in the Bollywood industry, shedding light on the challenges faced by budding artists trying to make their mark. During a media interaction on Saturday, the Bigg Boss 16 alum expressed her concerns regarding the unfair advantages enjoyed by those with industry connections. Archana believes that talent should be the foremost criteria for success in Bollywood, rather than one's lineage.

Archana Gautam, who was at the event to promote the music video "AC Lagwade," held at Sizzlin Scissors in Vaishali Nagar, highlighted the pressing need for reforms in the entertainment industry. She lamented the frequent dashed hopes of unemployed individuals aspiring to break into the industry. Archana herself ventured into politics, contesting assembly elections when Priyanka Gandhi was nominated, albeit without success. Presently, she is actively engaged in multiple web series and various other projects.

Regarding the music video, Archana described "AC Lagwade" as a portrayal of a daughter-in-law's struggles in a Haryanvi setting. In the video, the daughter-in-law beseeches her mother-in-law and family members to install an air conditioner in the kitchen, where she toils tirelessly amid scorching heat. The song, sung by Kavita Shobu, has garnered immense popularity, amassing over 2 million views on various streaming platforms since its release on September 2nd.

Archana Gautam's candid remarks about nepotism in Bollywood and her commitment to challenging the status quo highlight the need for greater inclusivity and fairness within the entertainment industry. As she continues to diversify her career with exciting new projects, she remains a voice for change and equity in the world of entertainment.
