Disney donated so many crores to recover from the damage caused by the fire in Los Angeles
Los Angeles Wildfires: In view of the huge loss caused by the forest fire in Los Angeles, the Walt Disney Company has announced help for relief and reconstruction.
In the forest fire in Los Angeles County so far, a lot of damage has been caused. In view of this huge loss, the Walt Disney Company has extended a helping hand. On Friday, the company announced that it would donate $15 million (about Rs 120 crore) for initial and immediate relief and reconstruction efforts.
This fire has so far burnt thousands of homes and buildings, besides claiming at least 10 lives. The flames have reportedly burnt thousands of acres in the areas of Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Pasadena, and Hollywood Hills. Disney announced that its donation would go to organizations such as the American Red Cross, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, and the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
"The Walt Disney Company is committed to supporting our community and our employees through this tragedy so that together we can heal and rebuild," said Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company.

Disney praised the efforts of first responders like the LAFD and KABC's round-the-clock reporters this week and said that in addition to the $15 million donation, the company intends to commit more resources to its Employee Relief Fund to help employees who are experiencing hardships due to this crisis.
