From Ramnagar to the National Stage Somansh’s Dance Dreams Take Flight

Sony Entertainment Television’s Super Dancer Chapter 5 is back again to showcase young dance talents and along with it the stories of love, sacrifice, and dreams. One such inspiring story is that of Somansh Dangwal, a young dancer with big dreams from Ramnagar, Uttarakhand.

Somansh, a young talented dancer, is the symbol of courage and hope. His journey from a small town of Uttarakhand to one of India’s biggest dance platforms has been possible only because of his mother, Kanchan Dangwal. A mother who stood by her son and believed in him, a mother who overcame her fears and left behind the comfort of her hometown to help her son chase his dream. 

“I used to be scared of even going out alone,” Kanchan shares. “But for my son’s dreams, I gathered all my courage. I left our home in Ramnagar and moved to Mumbai. A mother can go to any lengths for her child. I am proud that Somansh will now be seen on a platform like Super Dancer Chapter 5. I believe in his talent and will always be by his side.”

Somansh, now a contestant on Super Dancer Chapter 5, spoke emotionally about his mother. “My mom is my hero. I know it wasn’t easy for her to leave everything, but she did it for me. Her love gives me the strength to dance my heart out every time I’m on stage.”

Their story is a reminder that behind every star, there’s someone making silent sacrifices. There’s someone who never stops believing in them.
